Window shopping but make it Patina!
Spoiler: Did we create a full-scale doll box in our window? Absolutely!!!Dear Club Patine,
If, like us, you've played with Barbies a lot, it's time to think about their clothes! How many different clothes did you have to dress them in? 10? Maybe 20? Not much more. And yet let's remember how perfect those Barbie parts were. At the time, under the strong influence of Mardi c'est Permis on M6 and The Adventures of Lois and Clark, my character was often called Lois Lane, she was a journalist, and often in Benetton leggings and a fringed denim jacket. Her outfit alternated with a peach-colored ball gown and a yellow leotard. And frankly, she did very well. Do you see where we're going with this? The Patine locker room, we imagine it as concentrated in volume, and also concentrated in the pleasure of reporting. Our suitcase for summer 2023 is these essentials that you will still wear in 2083: a perfectly cut white, black or pink tank top, thick enough not to crease. A tube skirt that you wear from the beach to the village dance. Magical bio-acetate hoop earrings...
Last little fad, therefore, we designed a giant-sized copy of the boxes of Barbie clothes, the ones we dreamed of on the supermarket shelves. These toys measure 1.50m and are handmade by the brilliant artist Adèle Vivet and are currently on display in our window, waiting to one day perhaps join the Moma collections who knows! Come see them and come see us, Kiss kiss, Charlotte and the Patine team.
Like the animated windows of department stores at Christmas: come and admire and drink a coffee!
