The bet on regenerated merino wool:
to combine the best of innovation with respect for traditions.
Currently, the majority of extra-fine wool comes from sheep raised in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, often in intensive farming conditions, with 70% of the wool then going to China to be processed.
To address this manufacturing process which has a very heavy carbon impact, we are proposing an innovative solution for our first sweater.
An extra-fine recycled wool yarn, 50% post-consumer and 50% pre-consumer, GRS labeled, made in Italy. Post-consumer = old 100% wool sweaters, mechanically recycled and then transformed back into yarn, combined with offcuts from wool sweater production (this is the pre-consumer).
The recycling of the sweaters and the production of the new yarn are done in Italy. Our sweaters are then knitted in Italy.
How do I maintain it?
You can wash it by hand or in the washing machine on a wool cycle (cold or 30 degrees), with a low spin speed (400 rpm max). Use a special wool detergent; fabric softener is not necessary. Do not tumble dry, do not iron, and lay it flat to dry without losing its shape.
