Details matter

The crotch has been designed to subtly lift the buttocks (without a blunt butt), an effect enhanced by high, angled back pockets. The leg openings are wide, making them easy to slip on. The hips are gently rounded for a subtle barrel effect that's very flattering. We love it with a tiny turn-up.

The jeans from the photo albums

Same style since I was 11!

"In this photo I know I'm in 5th grade, because it was in 5th grade that I got my first pair of Converse. High-tops. Navy blue. They look brand new.
Jeans and a t-shirt. The jeans are still pretty new too; they might be 501s. They seem to be quite high-waisted, the leg is straight, and just a little bit wide. These jeans are seriously great.
Back then I was shy, not at all confident, and I smiled less in photos because I had braces. But I've just switched from glasses to contact lenses, and I've found the outfit I feel comfortable in. Tight-fitting clothes aren't in fashion yet; Morgan de Toi T-shirts will come later. Stretch jeans too.
I don't know it yet, but that style in the photo is still mine today, like a refuge I always return to.
The Everyday jeans look very similar to the jeans in this photo!

Charlotte

Comfortable, for skating, wearing out and re-wearing endlessly

"That's my mother."
We're in Toronto, Canada, and on weekends we take the ferry to go have barbecues on the Toronto Islands. It's cool, but I don't really realize it; I'm only five. Since then, I've looked at this photo a lot. I think my mom is incredibly beautiful. I can see in this picture that she's wearing her worn-out jeans, which are super comfy, and I think it looks really stylish.
I'd already borrowed the details of her yellow sweatshirt, and now I'm taking inspiration from the jeans. If she had known in 1985 that this photo would inspire eco-friendly jeans made in Italy!

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions.

How do Everyday jeans fit?

The Everyday Brenda jeans fit true to size; order your usual non-stretch jeans size. If you have any questions, email us at hello@patine.fr, we'll get back to you quickly and efficiently ;)
If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.

How does pre-ordering work?

The jeans are currently in production. We've had the denim woven, and we're starting production of 200 pairs from each batch. As a thank you for your patience, we're offering these new jeans at a special launch price for pre-orders until Sunday at midnight.
Once the pre-orders have been shipped, the remaining stock is put online at the normal price.

If the size is not suitable, will I be able to exchange it?

Yes, absolutely, within 14 days of receiving your package, provided it is still tagged and unworn. We always make extra parts to allow for exchanges.

How was the price of the jeans determined?

Preamble :

There are as many prices, ways of deciding on prices and pricing structures as there are brands.
The concept of quality differs from brand to brand. At Patine, it is defined by a three-pronged approach: aesthetics, durability, and commitment.
A price is not necessarily indicative of the quality, durability and environmental impact of a garment.
We don't claim our prices are low. However, we do offer a very low cost per wear and ethical compensation for our outstanding partners. Every day, we are building an innovative brand model that offers unparalleled value for money.

This is how we set our prices

As with the entire Patine catalogue, the price of the jeans is determined based on costs.

First, the cost of the material. We chose a recycled and regenerative Italian cotton canvas from Candiani®. Beyond its significantly reduced environmental impact compared to typical technical fabrics, it's a high-end 13oz canvas, a weight generally used for men's jeans—a complete injustice that we intend to rectify; we too want robust and durable canvases.

Next, the cost of production. The jeans are made in Portugal in a modern workshop that has been with us since our first jeans in 2019. Our construction and finishing choices are expensive, but we considered them essential. The production price was negotiated, but it respects our commitment to fair wages.

Other costs: the price also includes the costs of developing the project (the time and expertise of the brilliant model maker who collaborates with Patine, the prototypes, the technical tests...), transport, and a margin that includes our operating costs.

Regarding the weight of each of these costs in the price: our investments in advertising, brand ambassadors, and influencers are limited. We offer few markdowns and we refrain from inflating our prices to include a promotional budget. In conclusion:

Finally, we apply the 20% VAT.

Important: The Patine brand is primarily distributed directly through our website and in our store. If we were to switch to traditional distribution through multi-brand stores, we would have to increase the price to incorporate the retailers' margin. As a guideline, we estimate the price of the jeans would increase to approximately €300, while maintaining margin levels within the lower end of the market average.

Let's talk length: are they compatible with "small" and "large" sizes?

Le jean Brenda Everyday a été testé sur différentes personnes de 1,60m à 1,73m.

Are your jeans stretching out?

Like all authentic, high-quality, non-stretch jeans, Brenda jeans will mold to your body.

If the jeans you received are a little tight but you can breathe well, they're the right size! They'll stretch out on the first day for added comfort.
If you bought the jeans in a larger size for a looser fit, then the size will not change.

Where are your jeans made?

The denim fabric is made from regenerative and recycled cotton. It is woven in Italy, and then our jeans are manufactured and washed using environmentally friendly methods in Portugal. Since 2019, we have worked with the same trusted partners to guarantee high-quality and responsible production.
