Preamble : how to style & (re)wear Marty® jogging pants

Often the truth is that we don't really know why we put a shirt or a cap with this or that jogging suit. At the time we felt it, we said to ourselves “it works”. But you are asking us more and more for advice on how to postpone your Patina essentials, so in 2023 we made the wishful thinking of playing the game of style guides, without taking you for beginners, without injunctions, with derision , and trying to formalize some style principles that maximize the number of wears in our wardrobe. And far from being futile, it would almost be a militant action: that's the whole point of the Patine capsule wardrobe, doing more and more with less. You'll see, it's anything but a punishment. We call it finding your style, and dressing purposefully.

rewear idea 001 With a (very beautiful) oversized white shirt 

It’s a 100% winning patina combo. Because they say that opposites attract and it makes sparks: the supposedly strict white shirt with the famously soft jogging pants for a super green outfit that will make your best enemies green. The cord-cut Marty jogging pants would almost replace your pleated pants except that they are comfortable and send a family message “I'm cool and no I'm not an accountant*”. Obviously, the look works with the white Tony shirt , which you will wear 1 size larger than your usual size.

rewear idea 002 with a (too) sophisticated top 

Here with the Taffy shirt in sublime recycled taffeta. For a sportswear outfit and at the same time “dressy”, a fashion magazine in real life. Also works with your favorite top, the one in which you look really hot, whether it's backless, tight, low-cut or not. The idea: break up the fleece jogging style with an over-the-top top.

Patina is actively working on the jacket, a wardrobe essential, in the meantime, we are shopping for it second hand for men. Jogging + Blazer + bright white basic all adorned with a cap and a pretty golden necklace and you can walk around proudly. You may be stopped in the street to ask for your autograph, sorry for the inconvenience.

The beautiful trench coat which is neither Colombo nor Inspector Gadget but Winona Ryder. It enhances a total Marty sweatpants look with a deceptively casual air and gives it style and structure. It will be maybe soon with a Patine trench ?

Afterwards it's jogging so why not do sports with it, or pretend to do so. The Marty Rose Milkshake j oggings go really well with a gray sweatshirt , a black leotard, sneakers... Whether you go to pilates or not, we don't judge you, the resolutions we keep for next year, in the meantime you have just the air draws.

On the menu for this 002 edition of jogging pants

1/ A sublime jogging: as beautiful as pants, flattering, comfortable, worn "on the face of it" with a big sweatshirt, the Marty jogging is great and goes better with an oversized shirt(tte). In the Patine dressing room since December 2021, this is the second #edition002 production.

2/ A jogging quick but make it conscious : the jogging pants are cut from the same exclusive fleece as our sweatshirts: just thick like the good US sweatshirts of the time. Knitted in our exclusive 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled organic cotton fleece.

On the right side, the jogging pants do not pill. On the front side, the brushed fleece will change appearance over time. The seams are solid, the finishes neat, they can always be washed inside out and at 30 degrees. Impact of their manufacturing from fiber to manufacturing: pollutes 2.4x less water and saves 6,330 liters of water, or 40 bathtubs - emits 4 times less CO2 than standard cotton jogging pants.

3/ Patina details: it respects the codes of jogging from the 80s: elasticated ankle, drawstring at the waist, hidden pocket in the seam. But ultra compatible with the advances of the 21st century: electric bike, crocs, glass of natural wine.

4/ 3 colors: the basis in Black Black Coffee And Heather gray , and something new in one of our signature colors: Pink Milkshake

• The jogging pants fit normally, take your usual size
• If you are hesitating between two sizes: take the larger one

How this edition 002 works:

In stock ! Limited quantities.

If your size is no longer available, you can create an alert. It will notify you if a pair of jogging pants is returned to us but also allows us to know if we need to restart production. To find out more about how alerts work, we have written a mini guide, to be found here !

If, despite our advice, the size is not right, no problem:

• Return is easy for 20 days (supported by Patine)
• We make it easy for you to exchange with another size (reshipment costs are your responsibility)

Yes ! At the Patine Studio in the 10th. Appointments are open right here. For all those who are not in Paris, we will share the fitting videos with you on Instagram and we are at your disposal for any questions by PM, by email and even by video call if you need to see certain details of the pieces: ) We are currently considering a solution to allow fittings outside of Paris in the future, we will keep you informed!
