Because you have better things to do than iron, it is wrinkle-resistant: hung on a hanger, it maintains a perfectly sleek look for days on end.
Our Italian partner is a benchmark of excellence in weaving luxury materials and weaves our Poppy fabric exclusively from 100% organic cotton.

How is this poplin shirt more conscious than others?

Poppy is a 100% GOTS cotton poplin.
The GOTS cotton yarn comes from Turkey, then it is transported by truck to Italy to be dyed and woven. Dyeing is done directly on the yarn, which saves water and creates a clean stripe on both sides (= the best possible stripes).
The manufacturing then takes place in Portugal with the same partner as for our Tony shirts, with whom we have been working for 3 years.
The shiny white buttons are made from recycled milk casein.
For Poppy, we surrounded ourselves with a new partner who is a reference of excellence in weaving luxury materials. Extensive work has been done with him to obtain an exceptional signature finish, making the material crisp but soft and almost wrinkle-free.

How to take care of it?

Its maintenance is easy, you can wash your Poppy in the machine at 30 degrees and inside out. Iron with a gentle iron (2 points so 150°) or you can dry it directly on a hanger.

What is the difference with the Tony shirt?

The Tony and Poppy shirts are complementary.
They have the same shape but different materials.

The Tony shirt is woven in France and made of 59% GOTS cotton and 41% recycled yarn from clothing recycling (23% recycled polyester - 18% recycled cotton). The Poppy shirt is woven in Italy and is 100% GOTS cotton.
Tony is the all-purpose shirt, for days when you don't want to wear a t-shirt or a sweater but still want to stay casual, there's the Tony shirt.

Poppy is the shirt you wear on days when you want to make an impression, when you'd like to wear a suit but the reality of jeans/sneakers catches up with you. With Poppy, you get that feeling of being a Wall Street trader in the 80s: tailored, crisp, sophisticated.

FAQ: The (new) Poppy poplin

What are the difference(s) compared to the first edition of the Poppy CEO shirts?

We have lightened the fabric to make ironing easier, while keeping the extra-fine yarn quality and dense weave to maintain its "high-performance" properties and "perfect drape." We have developed solids, stripes, and checks: each requiring the use of different looms. The hand and weight are similar, with slight differences linked to each specific production chain.

How do I care for the Poppy shirt?

Poppy is a durable and easy-care fabric.
Once ironed and hung on a hanger at the end of the day, the Poppy shirt can be worn for 2 or 3 days.
You can machine wash it at 30 degrees, medium spin, buttoned and turned inside out. No need for fabric softener. Avoid tumble drying

How will the quality of my Poppy shirt evolve over time?

It will "patinate," which means "age beautifully," just like you :)
Few miracles: if the quality of the material and the craftsmanship is excellent, your garment will evolve while retaining the beauty and allure of pieces one hunts for in vintage shops (or in our mothers' closets).

What is the difference between the Tony Oversize shirt and the Poppy Oversize shirt?

It's exactly the same shirt, made in Portugal in the same workshop, but offered in 2 complementary materials for our wardrobe.
The Tony canvas is woven in France by Les Tissages de Charlieu. It is made of 59% organic cotton and 41% recycled yarn from recycled clothing (23% recycled polyester - 18% recycled cotton). We developed our "crinkle" finish, which accentuates the irregular character of the yarn.
The Poppy canvas is woven in Italy from an ultra-fine yarn to obtain a dense weave (with a high number of threads per cm2). The hand feel and drape are very high-end.
