Description

A sweater made from 100% recycled wool designed like soft armor for winter. It is both a future beloved cozy sweater and a sophisticated wardrobe piece.
The sleeves are knitted in an arc, the collar can be worn upright or folded down, and it also features the signature double cuffs found on all our sweaters. It can be worn on its own over a Willie tank top, or over your Patine shirts.

Always in our signature Wooly yarn made from 100% regenerated merino wool: it took us 4 years to find the cleanest yarn, the softest wool, the stitch tension that pills less, and the gauge that keeps you warm.
Wooly sweaters are released every winter in small, carefully crafted batches in colors we want to wear all the time.
Is it us, or is it getting warm? Oh no, it's Wooly.

Sustainability and traceability

Italian yarn, 100% regenerated extra-fine merino wool

Traceability
• The wool is made from 50% post-consumer and 50% pre-consumer wool and is GRS certified. It consists of old 100% wool sweaters mechanically recycled and then reprocessed into yarn, combined with production scraps from sweaters.
• The sweater recycling and new yarn manufacturing steps are carried out in Italy. We have chosen a high-end spinner who has been creating the most beautiful yarns for... 135 years! They supply the biggest luxury fashion houses.
• The sweaters are knitted in Italy by a family business that is an institution in the Italian knitwear industry and has existed since the 1950s. They are an expert partner in the category, working with well-established luxury brands.

🌍 Measured positive impact: This innovative manufacturing process allows us to avoid the heavy carbon impact of traditional sweaters knitted from virgin sheep's wool. Currently, 70% of merino wool comes from sheep raised in Australia and New Zealand, sometimes under intensive farming conditions, 70% of which then goes to China for processing and knitting.

Care: hand wash or cold wash, low spin (400 max), use a special wool detergent, no need for fabric softener. Do not tumble dry, do not iron. Do not hang to dry, but always lay flat.

 La laine Wooly
100% Laine mérinos recyclée - 100% Made in Italy

The gamble on regenerated merino wool: combining the best of innovation with respect for tradition.

Currently, the majority of extra-fine wool comes from sheep raised in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and South America, often under intensive farming conditions, with 70% of the wool then sent to China for processing.
To overcome this manufacturing process, which has a very heavy carbon impact, we are offering an innovative solution for our first sweater.

An extra-fine recycled wool yarn, 50% post-consumer and 50% pre-consumer, GRS certified and made in Italy. Post-consumer = old 100% wool sweaters, mechanically recycled then reprocessed into yarn, combined with production scraps from wool sweaters (this is pre-consumer).
The recycling of sweaters and the manufacturing of new yarn are carried out in Italy. Our sweaters are then knitted in Italy.

How to maintain it?

You can wash it by hand or in the machine on wool program (cold or 30 degrees), low spin (400 revolutions max), use a special wool detergent, no softener needed. Do not put in the dryer, do not iron and lay it flat so that it dries without losing its shape.

Ready-to-wear and Re-wear

The Wooly knitwear ticks all the boxes of Patine's expertise: their slightly boxy cut allows you to wear a shirt or a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath without feeling uncomfortable or restricted (or a simple tank top, Woolies are very soft!)
Their length, neither too long nor too short, allows them to be tucked into any pair of jeans/skirt/trousers. It's called the French tuck.
The double cuffs, the ribbed finish with side slits, the double neckline, and the embroidered back make it not only cool but also unique. And did we mention it's also durable thanks to its thick knit?
These aren't just knitwear pieces you'll wear because it's cold, but sweaters and cardigans you'll wear all the time.

Opposite are our sweaters and cardigans worn with our Patine essential: the Wide leg Brenda in light blue or medium blue

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions.
