Description

Introducing the Brenda almost cropped shirt. It's our dream cropped shirt, "cropped but not too much," just the right length to structure your silhouette without revealing your midriff. It's gorgeous buttoned all the way up with a pair of high-waisted jeans for a total denim look, or worn open like a bolero. It's made from our signature Brenda fabric, woven in Italy, which is sturdy and super pretty.

ps: the right length is like finding the right haircut :) In 1988, Linda Evangelista had her hair cut for a photoshoot, a short cut that would propel her career. We wish you the same with this new essential.

Medium blue: It's the foundation of a good wardrobe! This blue is cheerful and bright. Obtained through ozone washing in Portugal.

Sizing advice

Take your usual size: the Brenda short-sleeved shirt's armholes are already oversized. On someone 1.70m tall, wearing a size S, the shirt covers the navel.

Sustainability and traceability

Traceability
• The regenerative cotton comes from Brazil and the recycled cotton from the Netherlands
• This recycled cotton is post-consumer, made from old jeans
• The metal parts (buttons, zipper and rivets) are made in Türkiye
• The fabric is woven in Italy, at our long-standing partner Candiani
• Made and washed (with ozone, almost without water) in Portugal
• The Brenda denims are then delivered by truck to our logistics provider in Angers

Easy maintenance

• Wash at 30° inside out in the machine - be careful not to overload the machine to avoid uneven fading
• Tumble dryer not recommended

Brenda & you: a denim love story

Denim essentials rhyme with sublime and you seem to agree. Brenda is our best-selling denim fabric since 2019, highly approved by you. So after the jeans launched in 2019, then the shorts and mini-skirt in 2021, in 2023 we launched the first long skirt and a gorgeous denim jacket. So what's next?

Why is this denim more conscious than another?

Brenda is our ultra-conscious Italian canvas denim: 76% regenerative cotton + 24% post-consumer recycled cotton. A denim made in Portugal and washed with ozone with almost no water.

We have worked a lot on a new canvas that is still as beautiful and even more responsible. Regenerative cotton is an innovation of which we are very proud: result? An article in Le Monde Magazine to read right here


How to maintain it?


Easy care: wash at 30° inside out, 800 revolutions maximum.


Read the care guide (we give you advice on how to treat stains locally without having to put your jeans in the washing machine, because jeans don't need to be washed often. It's cowboy spirit, and it is also synonymous with saving energy and water #bravovous).

Attention to detail


The details of Brenda's pieces have (almost) everything from authentic vintage denim but in an ethical version: the jacrons (patches at the back) are vegan, made from paper pulp and not leather, the pocket bases are reinforced to avoid tearing, the canvas is robust.

And this is how we obtain the superb pieces of Brenda denim, our now best-selling material.

Today the Brenda canvas is available on jeans, shorts and mini-skirts. Looking forward to the sequel :)

Patina x Candiani

Candiani is not only the leader in responsible denim in Europe but also one of our historic partners. It was with them that we designed the fabric for our almost famous Brenda jeans. In addition to being as friendly as they are stylish, they are keen to perpetuate family know-how within their factory in Italy.
